Trudeau on Support for Ukraine
Canadian authorities are considering various options for providing support to Ukraine. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shared this information with reporters.
Responding to a question on whether it is possible to provide additional, including military support to Ukraine against the backdrop of escalating tensions along the border with Russia, Trudeau said, “We are taking various factors into account. We continue to support the people of Ukraine at different levels.”
The Prime Minister also reminded that since 2015, the Canadian Armed Forces have been training Ukrainian soldiers and officers as part of Operation Unifier. Approximately 200 Canadian troops are involved in the mission.
