Edward Sharmazanov, a member of the Republican Party's Executive Body, has announced: “There was no scheduled press conference that turned into an interview. The goal was to inform the public, and the best format chosen was the interview. Today, I came across a piece of news regarding Serzh Sargsyan's upcoming interview. I consider it natural that there is great attention towards the interview of the third President of Armenia, and I relate normally to such leaks. But one important clarification.

President Serzh Sargsyan has not made any decision to hold a press conference. Serzh Sargsyan has not changed his mind. We need to inform the public about important issues, particularly regarding the Artsakh problem, in detail and comprehensively. Therefore, considering all this, it has been decided to choose the interview format as one of the public informational options, which will allow us to fully present the issues to our public.”
