Kazakhstan Has a New Prime Minister
Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed a decree appointing Alikhan Smailov as the Prime Minister of the Republic. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the presidential press service.
Earlier, members of the lower house of parliament had approved Smailov's candidacy for the position, as he previously served as the First Deputy Prime Minister.
