A major scandal is unfolding in Azerbaijan; the mother of General-Major Polad Hashimov, who was killed during the border clashes in Tavush and Tovuz on July 14, 2020, and posthumously awarded the title of National Hero of Azerbaijan, has declared that her son was killed by the Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, Kerim Veliev.
