Levon Barseghyan: 'Alen Simonian Should Be Sent Home'
President of the 'Asparez' Press Club Levon Barseghyan writes: 'Alen Simonian, for his absurd statements regarding the prisoners, should be dismissed from his position, removed from the presidency of the National Assembly, relinquish his status as a member of parliament, and be sent home.
This is a challenge for both the ruling party and the Republic of Armenia, which, most likely, the ruling party will not be able to overcome. They will probably say that he made a mistake, claiming that he has a valuable contribution to democracy, revolution, journalism, astronomy, and other fields in Armenia. These will be justifications, not arguments on how someone with such a mindset could be a member of the ruling political force. The president of the National Assembly spits in the face of all of us with such thinking, especially the soldiers and captives.
Try to imagine what he would say if they discussed various topics. How could someone who potentially has lasagna or spaghetti in their suit pockets pass through a red light? Of course, they could, but having such people in power is a disaster for the entire state.'
