Georgian Opposition Leader Suggests Following Pashinyan's Example
Georgian radical opposition leader Nika Gvaramia has proposed to overcome historical traumas by citing the example of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, under whose leadership Azerbaijan reaffirmed its control over Nagorno-Karabakh.
Gvaramia stated, “I am impressed by Pashinyan, who managed to overcome historical trauma by surrendering Karabakh,” during a broadcast on the opposition television channel Formula. He emphasized that for the development of the people and their pro-European movement, “historical traumas pose a danger.”
The opposition leader is confident that by relinquishing Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenia will “receive more money from Azerbaijan, head towards the EU, and distance itself from Russia.”
