Aram Hovhannisyan Appointed Head of RA Ministry of Defense Military Police
In accordance with the proposal of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, President Vahagn Khachaturyan has signed a decree appointing Major General Aram Hovhannisyan as the Head of the RA Ministry of Defense Military Police.
According to another decree by the President, Ashot Zakaryan has been relieved of his duties as the Head of the Military Police of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.
The decree states, "Based on the Prime Minister's proposal, in accordance with the first part of Article 133 of the Constitution, as well as part 3 of Article 40 of the law on 'Military Service and the Status of Servicemen,' Ashot Zakaryan is relieved of his position as Head of the Military Police of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia."
