Administrative Proceedings Launched Regarding Pollution in Kari Lake Area
Administrative proceedings have been initiated in the Environmental and Mining Inspectorate of Armenia regarding the pollution in the Kari Lake area. On August 15, based on photographs and videos disseminated on the internet and in the media showing the accumulation of waste in the area of Kari Lake located on the slopes of Mount Aragats, the Environmental and Mining Inspectorate has launched the proceedings.
Additional information will be provided to the public upon completion of the proceedings. At the same time, it is important to note that according to the provisions set forth in the Law on Local Self-Government, it is the community that organizes waste collection and sanitation, and also exercises the authority to impose administrative liability in cases provided by law.
