Bayramov Discusses Current State of Armenian-Azerbaijani Negotiations with US Assistant Secretary of State
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, had a telephone conversation on December 6 with Karen Donfried, the US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, according to Azerbaijani media citing the country’s Foreign Ministry press service.
"The parties exchanged views on the current state of negotiations aimed at regulating post-conflict relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the situation prevailing in the region," the message states.
It was noted that Donfried characterized Azerbaijan's return of 10 Armenian servicemen to Armenia, as well as Yerevan's provision of minefield maps to Baku, as a "positive signal toward the normalization of relations."
