Aliyev Sees Preconditions from Armenia to Make the Situation in the Region More Predictable
After the negotiations held in Sochi, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev issued a joint statement. Aliyev stated that he sees preconditions from Armenia to make the situation in the region more predictable.
"I have repeatedly said that we in Azerbaijan are inclined to turn the page on years of confrontation with Armenia and to begin a phase of normal interaction, and I believe that in this format we are achieving our goals," said Aliyev.
"I think that the outcome of our meeting will be good results that will not be delayed, and the situation in the region will become calmer and more predictable," he added.
