Why the Members of the Civil Contract Party Do Not Accept Kamo Kochunts
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that the attitude towards Kamo Kochunts, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, in the parliament has deep roots. The fact is that a few days ago when Kochunts attended the National Assembly and participated in a closed meeting, he was left alone by the ruling party members.
According to information received by "Zhoghovurd", when he arrived at the National Assembly, no one from the ruling faction greeted him or accompanied him, and he was essentially left alone. Information has emerged about why Kamo Kochunts has been subjected to such treatment.
The reason is that Kamo Kochunts was the deputy to the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Movses Hakobyan, and for this reason, he has received an unfavorable attitude from the authorities. Additionally, both in the Armed Forces and in the National Assembly, ruling party members consider him part of the former authorities and an associate of Movses Hakobyan and Arshak Karapetyan.
As surprising as it may seem, ruling party members do not readily accept Arshak Karapetyan either, as those appointed by Karapetyan do not sit well with the members of parliament, particularly with the Chairman of the Defense Committee, Andranik Kocharyan. This is why when individuals appointed by Karapetyan come to the parliament, they are met with such treatment from the ruling party members.
