NATO Representative to Visit Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan
The newly appointed NATO Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia, Javier Colomina, expressed his eagerness on Twitter for his upcoming visit to Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan in his new role. The main topic of discussion will be the expansion of NATO's participation in the Caucasus.
“I am looking forward to my first trip to the Caucasus next week. I will be visiting Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia in my new capacity as the NATO Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia to explore pathways for the further expansion of NATO's involvement in the region,” Colomina wrote.
He took over the position in September this year, succeeding James Appathurai, who held the role of NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia for over 10 years.
