The Authorities Have Already Resolved the Election Issue in Gyumri: "Zhoghovurd"

According to the "Zhoghovurd" newspaper, we reported yesterday, on October 12, that by the decision of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a number of temporary acting community leaders have been appointed, including Albert Margaryan, who has been designated as the acting head of the Gyumri community in the Shirak province of Armenia.

According to our reliable sources, Albert Margaryan is close to the current governor of Shirak and the ruling candidate for mayor of Gyumri, Hovhannes Harutyunyan, and just hours after being appointed, he has actively engaged in campaigning at the city hall, obviously in favor of Hovhannes Harutyunyan.

Thus, the authorities are trying to control the course of the elections taking place in Gyumri on October 17 by appointing high-ranking officials through familiar and loyal procedures. Considering the passive stance and apparent indifference of the opposition candidates in the elections, it can be assumed that nearly everyone has already reconciled with the victory of the ruling candidate.
