Pashinyan and Aliyev Transferred Enclosed Letters Through Their Intelligence Chiefs, Vanetsyan Details
“Pashinyan and Aliyev transferred enclosed letters through their intelligence chiefs,” stated the head of the parliamentary faction “I Have Honor,” Arthur Vanetsyan, during an interview on 24TV’s program “Interview.” Responding to Prime Minister Pashinyan's statements about operational communication in the National Assembly, Vanetsyan asserted that the Prime Minister is engaging in manipulation.
For clarification, the interviewee first explained what operational communication entails, noting that it was intended solely for border incidents. The communication from Armenia was managed by then-Director of the National Security Service, Arthur Vanetsyan, while his Azerbaijani counterpart handled the link from Azerbaijan.
He elaborated that he maintained mostly telephone communication with his colleague and had met several times in Dubai and other cities during relevant circumstances. According to Vanetsyan, the main focus of their discussions was exclusively the border situation, which was fully reported to both the Prime Minister and members of the Security Council, including the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense.
During the interview, discussions also included Vanetsyan's and his team's participation in the defense of Shushi, the internal political situation, and the tools used by the opposition for their struggle. Vanetsyan believes that we are currently living in one of the most tragic phases of our history, and after thousands of losses and the loss of our homeland, we have been unable to regain our footing. He concluded that the current government must step down and that the task of restoring the state should be entrusted to professional individuals.
