Armenia and Azerbaijan Foreign Ministers Meet
Within the framework of the United Nations General Assembly, a meeting took place between Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The foreign ministers first had separate meetings with the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group: Igor Popov (Russia), Stefan Visconti (France), and Andrew Schofer (USA), followed by a joint meeting.
The parties discussed a number of unresolved issues between Yerevan and Baku, while the co-chairs proposed specific steps to de-escalate the situation.
