Dissatisfaction is Growing in Prisons Against the Authorities: 'Hraparak'
Previously, the political power used amnesty for its own benefit and offered deals to imprisoned authorities. Dissatisfaction is growing in prisons against the authorities. Most of the prisoners had expectations that amnesty would be declared on the 30th anniversary of independence, but this did not happen. This is reported by the newspaper 'Hraparak.'
As we know, on that day, especially during anniversary years, this practice has been followed, and many convicts have benefited from it, which did not occur this year.
According to the newspaper's commentary, the situation has changed here as well. If previously the political power used amnesty for its own benefit and offered deals to incarcerated authorities— to ensure protection of its interests in exchange for working in favor of the authorities during elections— now this need is absent.
'Moreover, since the war, most prisoners are against Nikol Pashinyan and the current authorities. Especially among the authorities, there is a taboo against standing beside those who have given land and lives,' reports 'Hraparak.'
