Vardan Voskanyan on Iranian Military Exercises Near Azerbaijan's Border

This was stated by Iranologist Vardan Voskanyan on his Facebook page. He pointed out: "The Iranian military exercise zone near the border of the artificial entity called Azerbaijan is extremely noteworthy. According to materials circulated by Persian-language sources, it encompasses almost the entire length of the Iranian border with Azerbaijan's Talysh-inhabited regions.

Given that the Talysh issue has recently escalated within Azerbaijan, resulting in significant protests from even moderately-positioned Talysh organizations, the selection of the Iranian military exercise zone clearly carries multiple overt messages. These were notably presented by an Iranian cleric working in the direction of Azerbaijan after the last Friday prayer, highlighting, 'Do not play with the lion's tail.' In the picture, the activity of Iranian flying objects in the exercise zone can be seen," Voskanyan wrote.
