Goris-Kapan Road: What Did the Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister and Iranian Ambassador Discuss?
The Iranian Ambassador Seyyed Abbas Mousavi met with Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev. This was reported by the press service of the Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan, according to minval.az.
It was mentioned that the meeting addressed current changes in the region, particularly the situation along the border areas between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the new transportation conditions for the Goris-Kapan road, among other issues.
It is noteworthy that for several days now, an Azerbaijani police checkpoint has appeared in the Vorotan section of the Goris-Kapan highway. Additionally, Azerbaijani police have stopped a civilian vehicle delivering food to servicemen (border troops in the Vorotan area) at the same checkpoint. Furthermore, Azerbaijanis are conducting inspections and collecting customs duties from Iranian drivers.
