Azerbaijani Expert Openly Mocks Russia's Defense Ministry and Muradov
Azerbaijan has once again decided to ridicule Russia's defense ministry. In particular, Azerbaijani military expert Uzeyir Zafarov has written an analytical article regarding the activities of Russian peacekeepers in Artsakh, where he has published blatantly false information about the operations of the Russian peacekeeping force commander Rustam Muradov.
According to Minval.az, the Azerbaijani expert specifically stated: “The operations of Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh under the leadership of Rustam Muradov will go down in history as Russia's most disgraceful mission,” wrote Zafarov. According to the expert, “in fact, Muradov has simply been dismissed from his position.”
In his article, he recalled that initially General Muradov was brought to Artsakh for six months as the commander of the Russian peacekeeping force, and later at the request of the Armenian side, his term was extended for another year. “Recent events and the disgraceful actions of the Russian peacekeepers forced Moscow to replace Muradov. During the exchange of Armenian prisoners, some individuals connected with Muradov illegally collected money from certain families, part of which was delivered to Muradov,” the Azerbaijani expert wrote, adding that a serious investigation is allegedly underway against Russian soldiers.
“As a result, Muradov was immediately dismissed from his position. In the coming months, the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation will initiate a criminal case against Muradov and several of his subordinates,” Zafarov wrote.
It should be noted that earlier, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia announced that the commander of the Russian peacekeeping force in Artsakh, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov, is concluding his mission, and he will be replaced by Major General Mikhail Kosobokov, the deputy commander of the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District.
