Numerous Complaints Received Regarding Private Event at Garni Pagan Temple: RA Tourism Committee
A wedding was held in the vicinity of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed cultural monument, accompanied by the sounds of rabiz music. The RA Tourism Committee announced that it had received numerous complaints regarding the private event held at the Garni Pagan Temple.
The information was shared on the official Facebook page of the RA Tourism Committee. It was noted that the complaints were received from representatives of the sector.
"We are committed to initiating broad discussions on this issue with the participation of the relevant authorities to regulate events held in historically and culturally significant sites," the statement read.
Earlier, a video was published showing the Garni Pagan Temple, with rabiz music audible in the background.
Later, the 'Preservation' Service clarified that the Garni Pagan Temple had been closed to visitors yesterday due to a private event taking place there, for which prior permission had been obtained. The clarification stated that the rabiz music was a performance emanating from a nearby establishment.
