Armenian Embassy in Moscow Issues Note of Protest to Russian Foreign Ministry

According to reliable sources from Infoteka24, the Armenian Embassy in Moscow has issued a note of protest to the Russian Foreign Ministry regarding the increasing number of anti-Armenian statements from Russian political figures.

In particular, one of these political figures is Leonid Kalashnikov, the chairman of the Parliamentary Commission on CIS Affairs and a Communist. The anti-Armenian statements made by Kalashnikov from time to time not only harm Armenian-Russian allied relations and incite interethnic hostility but also contradict Moscow's official policy, echoing the rhetoric of the Turkish-Azerbaijani alliance.

In this regard, the Armenian Embassy in Russia calls on the relevant authorities to ascertain whether Kalashnikov is an external influence agent.

Unfortunately, Kalashnikov is not the only political figure of his kind in Russia whose statements contradict the spirit of the Armenian-Russian alliance. Anti-Armenian rhetoric can also be heard from federal channels and state media. Such uncontrolled flows of unfounded and unjustified aggression against the sole ally in the South Caucasus, which suppresses Turkish ambitions, including those against Russia, lead to an increase in anti-Russian sentiments within Armenia.

The Armenian society is disillusioned with Moscow's choices in favor of Turkish and Azerbaijani interests to the detriment of the ally's security. With so many anti-Armenian activists, Moscow should not be surprised by the rise of pro-Western sentiments in Armenia.
