Ararat Mirzoyan Submits Resignation from Parliamentary Mandate
The Speaker of the National Assembly and member of the Civil Contract party, Ararat Mirzoyan, is resigning from his parliamentary mandate. This information was disclosed to Sputnik Armenia by the advisor to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Vahan Kostanyan.
According to him, Mirzoyan has already submitted his resignation to the Central Electoral Commission. Reports indicate that he is expected to be appointed as an ambassador shortly, but the country where he will be appointed has not yet been specified.
Vahan Kostanyan declined to provide further details. It is worth noting that the Civil Contract party has already confirmed that Alen Simonyan will assume the position of Speaker of the 8th convocation of the National Assembly.
