Veterinarian Commits Suicide in Ishakyan Village Through Hanging in Barn
In the Ishakyan community of the consolidated Ani region in Shirak province, a case of anthrax has been reported, resulting in the death of six large and six small livestock. Additionally, seven individuals, including five men and two women, have been hospitalized in Gyumri with symptoms of the disease.
According to Aravot.am, it was revealed that today the village's veterinarian, an elderly man, committed suicide. Edgar Janoyan, the deputy head of the media department of the Armenian Police, confirmed the information, detailing that around 10 AM in Ishakyan village, the elderly man hanged himself in the barn.
The connection between the veterinarian's suicide and the outbreak of anthrax remains unclear, and an investigation is ongoing.
