33-year-old driver crashes Volkswagen into gas pipe: 1 dead, 1 injured

On June 16, a tragic car accident occurred in the Tavush region. Around 00:45, in the administrative area of Berdavan village, on the 45 km stretch of the M-16 highway, a 33-year-old resident of Lori province, Hovhannes Chichakyan, lost control of his Volkswagen Golf and crashed into a gas pipe, overturning the vehicle under still unknown circumstances.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, H. Chichakyan died at the scene, while passenger Balabek Parsadanyan, whose age and residence are being clarified, was taken to the 'Noyemberyan' medical center with bodily injuries.
