Investigation Started in Ministry of Economy Regarding Deputy Minister's Publication
On May 7 of this year, an article titled "Friends of the Deputy Minister of Economy and Other Officials’ Wives at One Municipality" authored by journalist Tigran Muradyan was published in the online newspaper Hetq. In response, an investigation is being conducted by the Ministry of Economy of Armenia based on the direction of Acting Minister Vahan Kerobyan regarding the facts mentioned in the cited article.
It is extremely important for us to uphold the reputation of the ministry. Every employee of the ministry must recognize the responsibility of being a civil servant and strive to enhance the agency's standing in society through diligent work and moral character.
The process of filling vacant positions in the civil service should be competitive, transparent, and fair. We value professional skills; the best specialists should join the ranks of state agencies regardless of friendship, family, or other connections.
At the same time, we find it necessary to emphasize that any sponsorship activity by public officials is unacceptable and condemnable. The ministry will demonstrate zero tolerance for such phenomena and will be consistent in uncovering and eliminating them.
