Authorities Decide to Punish All Genuine Judges by Initiating Disciplinary Proceedings, Ruben Melikyan

Human rights defender Ruben Melikyan reports on his Facebook page that disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against Judge David Grigoryan.

“Hands off Judge David Grigoryan! It seems the authorities have decided to punish all genuine judges by initiating ‘disciplinary proceedings’ aimed at them through the Minister of Justice. Among these proceedings, the most absurd is the one initiated against Judge David Grigoryan, allegedly for expressing an opinion during an interview concerning a case that is within Judge Danibekyan’s jurisdiction. Meanwhile, the judge explicitly refused to express an opinion, stating that he has no right to do so… Are you out of your mind? Hands off Judge David Grigoryan!” he wrote.
