Iranian expert Vardan Voskanyan wrote on his Facebook page: “The Azerbaijani protesters chanting ‘Russian, Persian, Armenian – these are the enemies of the Turk’ in front of the Russian embassy in Baku, and demanding the replacement of Russian peacekeepers with the Turkish army, are the ‘first swallows’ of a process where, at Ankara's instigation, armed Azerbaijani bashi-bozuks could provoke an incident against the Russian troops.

It is precisely here that a successful opportunity window may open not only for restoring the territorial integrity of Artsakh but also for ousting Turkey from the South Caucasus and leaving Azerbaijan isolated, to face its downfall once again. However, to fully take advantage of that window, Armenia needs a national and capable government, which, metaphorically speaking, should have started to restore and modernize our state and military capabilities since yesterday, while working on weakening the enemy.”
