‘You do not have the right to state-sponsored surgery’: Health Ministry tells Artsakh hero
Artsakh hero and participant of the 44-day war, Edgar Markosyan, revealed on his Facebook page that he received a call from the Health Ministry stating that he does not have the right to state-funded surgery. Markosyan, who was wounded during the war, shared his experience, saying:
“Today I received a call from the Health Ministry stating, ‘You do not have the right to state-sponsored surgery,’ and secondly, ‘You have already been operated on, what more do you want?’
So I want to say again: thank you to Doctors Arman Pargavyan and Tatevik Pil'takyan and all the staff at Nairi Medical Center for not causing me discomfort.
And I would like to mention that I do have the 'documentation' they referred to, proving that I sustained the injury during service (in the war). I just didn’t catch the name of that ‘employee’ of the ministry, but I would really like to find them. Attached is the reason for my rejection.”
Markosyan’s document for denial states that “the individual is not an insured person.”
