Samantha Power Shares Details on Biden's Commitment to Recognize Armenian Genocide
American political figure and former chief advisor on foreign policy during Barack Obama’s administration, Samantha Power, has posted a photo from the 100th anniversary ceremony of the Armenian Genocide on her Twitter account. In her accompanying remarks, she wrote:
“At that time, we participated in the 100th anniversary ceremony at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. with then Vice President Joe Biden. That evening, Biden told me that if he ever had the authority to do so in his official capacity, he would recognize the Armenian Genocide. Today, as President of the United States, he indeed acted accordingly.”
