Which High-Ranking Official Sent SMS to Mane Gevorgyan About the Arrival of Prisoners
According to 'Zhoghovurd', following the disgraceful events of April 8, there have been no consequences for those responsible in the Prime Minister’s Office. It is worth recalling that on that day, a pro-government media outlet reported that prisoners were being transferred from Azerbaijan to Armenia. Prime Minister's spokesperson Mane Gevorgyan confirmed the news, adding, 'Today, the repatriation of Armenian prisoners of war to Yerevan is planned.' However, the plane landed in Armenia without the returned prisoners.
Moreover, not only did the plane arrive without prisoners, but the situation was further inflamed by the commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov, who stated that the return of the prisoners was not planned and that the aircraft’s landing was a routine working visit.
Now, 'Zhoghovurd' has learned that Mane Gevorgyan's well-known statement regarding the prisoners was based on a received message—an SMS. The content of the SMS reportedly indicated that a plane had taken off to bring the prisoners.
Indeed, a plane did take off, but from the very beginning, the leaders of Armenia and Artsakh were aware that no prisoners would be brought back. After all this, a question arises: who sent the SMS to Mane Gevorgyan (we haven't disclosed the name yet, but we know the identity of the high-ranking official), and why have no dismissals occurred in the Prime Minister’s Office to clarify the public's confusion and manipulate emotions? This is a matter that requires accountability, yet official sources remain silent in response to our inquiries.
