Protests During Prime Minister's Visit to Syunik Were Accompanied by Hooliganism, Makunts Says
Protests that occurred during the Prime Minister's visit to Syunik were accompanied by manifestations of hooliganism, said Lilit Makunts, the head of the My Step faction, during a conversation with journalists at the National Assembly.
"The issue is that there is a certain tendency to divide Armenia into parts, which is observed from directed groups, and this cannot be acceptable to any country's political leadership and law enforcement system," she said.
Makunts remarked that she cannot name individuals because she does not know who is directing these protests.
"Our actions have in no way tried or intended to separate society. The actions of the Armenian authorities in recent months have in no way pushed citizens to undertake such actions," said Lilit Makunts.
