Lavrov Discusses Support for Artsakh with World Food Programme Director
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a phone conversation on April 23 with David Beasley, the Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Programme, to discuss cooperation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, as well as support for Syria, Venezuela, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Ethiopia. This was reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The phone call was initiated by the Executive Director of the World Food Programme. The parties emphasized the need to strengthen international efforts in combating hunger in Eastern Africa.
Lavrov and Beasley also exchanged views on the preparations for the UN summit scheduled to take place in New York in September.
