Diversion Infiltration, Vandalism, Gunfire: Statement from Artsakh's Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh has issued a statement regarding gunfire directed at Artsakh's settlements.
The statement reads: “On April 20, the armed forces of Azerbaijan, grossly violating the tripartite declaration of November 9, 2020, opened fire towards the capital city of Stepanakert, as well as the villages of Shosh and Mkhitarkh in the Askeran region. As a result of the gunfire, a residential house in Stepanakert was damaged.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh strongly condemns the adversary’s provocative and aggressive actions, which aim to create an atmosphere of fear and insecurity among the citizens of the Republic of Artsakh and undermine the peacekeeping mission of the Russian Federation. Attacks on Armenian vehicles, firing at farmers working in the fields, diversion infiltration and vandalism at the tank monument along the road from Shushi to Stepanakert, the destruction of Armenian historical and cultural monuments, and many other hostile actions by the Azerbaijani side are the consequences of the nationally conducted anti-Armenian and fascist policies of Azerbaijan. Any attempt to intimidate the people of Artsakh is doomed to failure and cannot undermine our determination to live freely on our own land.”
