Narek Mkrtchyan of My Step Faction Submits Resignation
Narek Mkrtchyan, a member of the National Assembly of Armenia from the My Step faction, has submitted a resignation letter from his parliamentary mandate. This was announced by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan.
According to Article 155, Part 1, of the constitutional law on the "Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly," Narek Mkrtchyan submitted his resignation letter on April 21. As per Part 2 of the same article, if the deputy withdraws his resignation within a week of its announcement with a written application, the Speaker of the National Assembly will issue a statement. If he does not withdraw his resignation application, a record of the cessation of his mandates will be prepared, which will be signed and published by the Speaker of the National Assembly. The resignation is considered accepted upon the publication of the record.
