Prosperous Armenia Party to Participate in Elections Based on Rating System
The "Prosperous Armenia" faction in the National Assembly did not participate in yesterday's extraordinary session, which had on its agenda a draft constitutional law on amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia regarding the electoral code. The party stated that it generally does not participate in extraordinary sessions called by the government agenda after the war.
Several times, the Prosperous Armenia Party has indicated that they are not particularly concerned about which electoral system will be utilized for the elections. According to our sources, the party has decided that, in any case, it will participate in the elections based on a rating logic. The party's list will be conditional, and those who secure a greater number of votes from their attached areas will pass to the National Assembly based on the party's proportional list.
This strategy aims to stimulate both internal competition and work against the government, motivating the undecided broad masses and directing them towards polling stations. Apparently, all former lawmakers will be guided by the same logic to be able to 'bear' in their struggle against the government.
