Ter-Petrosyan and Robert Kocharyan to Form an Alliance, Joined by Two More Individuals
According to information from the "Zhoghovurd" newspaper, during the meeting of five presidents on March 25, it was decided to proceed with snap parliamentary elections with the unification of at least two presidents. In other words, Armenia's first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan and second president Robert Kocharyan are set to form an alliance in the near future.
Well-informed sources have indicated that discussions are underway to include the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), Gagik Tsarukyan, and the leader of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF), Paruyr Hayrikyan, in this alliance. Thus, an official meeting of the Kocharyan-Term-Petrosyan-Tsarukyan-Hayrikyan quartet is expected in the coming days, during which they will announce their intention to participate in the elections with a unified list.
Furthermore, it has been revealed that there is hot debate over which of the presidents will lead the list, as having both presidents on a single list is considered a "luxury." There is currently no clarity on this issue, but the quartet plans to resolve it in the upcoming days. This is reported by the "Zhoghovurd" newspaper.
