Hayk Chobanyan is Moving to Yerevan. He Will Replace Hakob Arshakyan.

At today’s government meeting, the agenda includes the issue of dismissing Tavush Governor Hayk Chobanyan from his position. He was appointed as governor on February 6, 2019, and has faithfully served his appointer and the ruling team, thus there seems to be no reason from their perspective for dismissal.

We have learned that Chobanyan is not being dismissed, but rather promoted—he is moving to Yerevan. He is set to be appointed as Minister of Industry and High Technologies, replacing Hakob Arshakyan, who resigned yesterday.
