Rescuers Retrieve Body of 22-Year-Old Employee from Sand Quarry Bunker
Today, on March 30, a tragic incident occurred in the Armavir region. At around 02:30, a call was received by the Armavir police department from the "Armavir" medical center reporting that an ambulance crew had been dispatched to the sand quarry in the village of Tandzut, where they discovered a man's body in a bunker.
Rescuers retrieved the body of 22-year-old Zhora Markosyan, a resident of Nor Armavir, from the sand bunkers at the mining facility owned by "Tnashinch Ashot" LLC. Investigators from the Armavir police department's investigative unit, led by unit head Zaven Ohanyan and senior investigator Gurgen Kharajanyan, also worked on-site. In connection with the incident, G. Kharajanyan is preparing materials and has ordered several examinations, including a forensic examination of the body. According to G. Shamshyan's sources, the deceased had started working at the sand quarry just one day prior.
