Arayik Harutyunyan Visits Askeran Region
The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, visited the communities of Dahrav, Astghashen, and Patara in the Askeran region, where he familiarized himself with the ongoing construction works and met with the local residents.
To address the housing issues of citizens who became homeless due to the last war, within the framework of the program for the renovation and furnishing of the Republic's free housing fund, out of 28 houses in Dahrav, 14 have already been completed, while in Patara, out of 50, 34 have been completed, most of which are now inhabited.
Arayik Harutyunyan personally assessed the quality of the completed work, conversed with the resettled residents, and inquired about their pressing concerns. In Patara, the country's leader emphasized that this year the road connecting the village to the highway will be asphalted, and the issue of nighttime lighting in the community will be resolved.
On-site, he instructed the Minister of Urban Development to prepare a reconstruction plan for the village's kindergarten. During his visit, the President also toured the construction site of a new housing area being built for displaced residents of villages in the upper subregion of Askeran, funded by state and charitable resources, and familiarized himself with the progress of the work.
