Sergey Shoigu Discusses Relations with Turkey and the Nagorno-Karabakh Issue
The relationship dynamics between Russia and Turkey is very complex, yet at the same time, it is an area of effective work. This was stated by Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, as reported by TASS.
“If we talk about relations with Turkey, the work is ongoing and not easy, but very effective. Collaborative efforts are complicated. They are complicated because Turkey is a member of NATO. Of course, this creates challenges, but it is a unique experience when one side is a NATO member state and the other side is not,” he said.
Shoigu noted that Russia and Turkey can find compromises where it seems impossible and highlighted the Idlib region as an example.
He also recalled the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, stating, “It is a very complicated operation. That’s how I would like to call it, not otherwise, because this operation involves an enormous number of arguments, elements, and motives.”
