Body of Bako Sahakyan's Security Staff Discovered

On January 22, 2021, around 00:05, the body of 36-year-old Arthur Ashoti Apresyan was found in the driver’s seat of a parked 'Honda' vehicle on Baghramyan Street in Stepanakert. The body had a gunshot wound to the head, and a pistol was in his right hand.

An investigative team from the Artsakh Investigative Committee, led by the head of the first investigative department of the territorial investigative department, was dispatched to the scene. A criminal case has been initiated and accepted for proceedings under the first part of Article 109 of the Artsakh Criminal Code. Urgent investigative and procedural actions are being carried out. According to circulating media reports, Arthur Apresyan was a security staff member for former Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan.
