Arman Babajanyan Proposes to Include Visit to Yerablur in State Visits Program of High-Level Delegations
The independent member of the National Assembly of Armenia, Arman Babajanyan, has proposed that the program for state and official visits by high-level delegations to Armenia also include a visit to the Yerablur Pantheon. A corresponding draft has already been submitted for circulation.
Babajanyan suggests an amendment to the law of the Republic of Armenia on State Protocol. Specifically, he proposes to add a visit to the Yerablur Pantheon to the existing provision that mandates visits to the Armenian Genocide Memorial as a standard part of the program for high-level delegations' state and official visits to Armenia.
As justification, Babajanyan stated that thousands of our brothers and sisters have consciously sacrificed their lives. Therefore, by including a visit to Yerablur for foreign officials visiting Armenia, we would pay tribute to the memory of our fallen heroes who did not spare their lives for the statehood of Armenia, thereby emphasizing our stance on the two Artsakh liberation wars at the state level.
