Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict Still Unresolved. Pashinyan, Putin, and Aliyev Issue Joint Statement
Following a tripartite meeting in Moscow today, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev released a joint statement.
Putin announced that a joint declaration regarding the development of Nagorno-Karabakh has been signed as a result of their discussions. This was reported by the Ria Novosti Telegram channel.
In his remarks, Pashinyan stated that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict remains unresolved and that the status of Nagorno-Karabakh still needs to be determined, emphasizing that Yerevan is ready for negotiations.
“Of course, we have managed to establish a ceasefire regime in general, but there are still many issues that need to be resolved. One of those issues is the status of Nagorno-Karabakh. Certainly, Armenia is prepared to continue negotiations within the framework of the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, particularly on this matter,” Pashinyan declared.
“We were not able to resolve the issue of prisoners today; we have agreed that work in this direction will continue,” Pashinyan added.
