Former Director of Aygedzor Utility Company Charged with Official Forgery

The investigation department of the Tavush regional investigative unit of the RA Investigative Committee has revealed the circumstances regarding the official forgery committed by the former director of the Aygedzor Utility Company. This was reported by the Information and Public Relations Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

According to the factual data obtained during the investigation, the director of the Aygedzor Utility Company, during his tenure from 2014 to 2017, was aware that several employees of the same utility company were not attending work and were not performing their assigned duties per the orders. Instead, other individuals performed these functions, and with personal motives, he had entered false information into records that are official documents concerning hours worked, signing and sealing them in the names of employees.

Based on the combination of sufficient evidence obtained, the former director of the utility company has been charged under part 1 of Article 314 of the RA Criminal Code (official forgery) for 5 episodes. A travel restriction measure has been applied, requiring him to sign that he will not leave.

The preliminary investigation has been completed, and the criminal case with the accusatory conclusion has been sent to court.
