Nearly 50 Countries Plan to Participate in 'Army International Games 2021' Exercises, Shoigu Says
Nearly 50 countries have expressed their intention to send teams to the 'Army International Games' taking place next year, according to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, as reported by the TASS news agency.
“Around 50 countries have notified us about their participation in the exercises we will host next year. We continue to receive applications, and I hope nothing will prevent us from holding this event next year,” the Russian minister stated.
He recalled that this year, representatives from more than 30 countries participated in the competitions, which were held across the territories of five states. The Army International Games in 2021 are scheduled to take place from August 22 to September 4.
In total, 34 international competitions are planned, aimed at maximizing the geographical reach of these events.
