Goris Mayor Released from Detention
The court of general jurisdiction in Yerevan has released Goris Mayor Arush Arushanyan.
"The court decided that Arushanyan was detained illegally," said Arushanyan’s lawyer, Armen Melikonyan, to reporters.
It is worth mentioning that yesterday, at 6:30 AM, the head of the Goris community, Arush Arushanyan, was arrested on suspicion of organizing and attempting to hold an unauthorized gathering.
Arushanyan was detained after he declared that at 6:00 AM, a convoy would leave from G. Tatevatsi Square to the gates of Syunik to "prevent the entry of the 'Prime Minister' who compromises Armenian land and disturbs the once inviolable integrity of Syunik."
