Montpellier City Council in France Adopts Resolution Supporting Artsakh Armenians
The City Council of Montpellier, France, has adopted a resolution in support of the Armenians of Artsakh, as reported by the Artsakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The resolution expresses the friendship and support of the city of Montpellier towards the Armenian population of Artsakh, who are currently in distress and have been forced to abandon their homes. It calls upon the French government to take diplomatic and humanitarian measures commensurate with the challenges faced, in order to prevent the suffering of refugees from escalating along with the severe consequences of military aggression. The resolution requests the French government to recognize the Republic of Artsakh and authorizes the mayor to send a letter regarding this matter to the Minister of European and Foreign Affairs.
