Minister of Defense of Armenia Meets with Relatives of Missing Soldiers
On December 16, the Minister of Defense of Armenia, Vagharshak Harutyunyan, met with the relatives of missing soldiers, the Ministry of Defense's press service reports.
The head of the defense agency listened to their concerns, questions, and suggestions, clarifying issues related to the exchange of prisoners and the search operations for missing persons in areas under Azerbaijani control.
Harutyunyan emphasized that search operations are ongoing and that the raised issues are regularly discussed with partners from the ICRC and the leadership of the Russian peacekeeping forces.
The Defense Minister addressed the issues related to DNA research and informed that the scope of work in this direction has increased. He also mentioned that the search operations in Artsakh are coordinated by a representative of the Ministry of Defense and noted that additional clarifications will be provided to the relatives of soldiers.
