Approximately 60 Servicemen Missing in the Direction of Khzraberd
The Human Rights Defender of Artsakh, Artak Beglaryan, wrote on his Facebook page: “I have contacted several bodies and some servicemen on the ground regarding information about the new Armenian prisoners of war. According to the initial data I have gathered, a unit consisting of about 60 servicemen has gone missing in the direction of the village of Khzraberd in the Hadrut region, which is likely visible in the video released by the Azerbaijani side.
This incident is absolutely unacceptable and must be investigated quickly and rigorously by law enforcement agencies to clarify all circumstances and the circle of those responsible. All authorized bodies of the Republic of Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia are obliged to take immediate steps to bring all our prisoners of war home as soon as possible.
Additionally, it is necessary to provide clear information to the relatives of the prisoners of war and to maintain as transparent public communication as possible to avoid misinformation and unnecessary tensions.”
