NATO Responds to US Sanctions Imposed on Turkey
NATO has expressed regret over the US decision to impose sanctions on its ally Turkey due to the acquisition of Russian S-400 air defense systems. This announcement was made by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg during a press briefing in Brussels on Tuesday.
“I regret that we find ourselves in a situation where NATO countries are forced to impose sanctions against one another. I am also concerned about the consequences of Turkey's decision to purchase the S-400 air and missile defense systems from Russia,” Stoltenberg stated.
